Vanessa Silberman & Carissa Johnson

The Vanessa Silberman has been compared to a Female Nirvana that’s slightly punk & energetic at times similar to The Ramones but then expands & ranges to the likes of Chrissie Hynde meets Patti Smith & Neil Young. Currently on the road & in the last 16 months has played over 180 in support of different singles & self-titled VANESSA SILBERMAN EP. Released a new acoustic 60s folk inspired single ‘Hide My Love Away’ on Dec. 23rd & supporting it, the debut self-titled VANESSA SILBERMAN EP (released this past Oct) with US tour dates in 2017.

“Carissa Johnson takes more cues from Sleater Kinney than Evanescence and her CD, For Now, is a straight-up rocker that recalls early aughts Boston bands Aloud and Damone.” – the Hippo. Carissa Johnson is addicted to playing rock and roll. The kind of sweaty, turbulent, in-your-face, post punk rock that makes uptight people squeamish and uncomfortable. DIY-minded, lyrically driven, all walk and no talk. Hailing from Boston MA, rock artist Carissa Johnson has proven to leave her mark and she is just getting started. She got her start playing bass in Boston bands for a few years before stepping out to pursue her own music.
